In the state game at Railways Oval Tahlia McGrath followed
up her good performance last week with us to score her first 50 for the
Scorps. She came in at 3/15 with the
loss of Captain Lauren Ebsary (and with Paterson and Taylor already out).
She put on 45 with Tegan McPharlin for the fourth wicket and
was dismissed for 58 after a 99 run stand with Sarah Coyte.
She faced 118 balls and hit 3
fours on a slow running Railways Oval.
The innings lay the foundation for a busy last five with SA making 32
runs to end up with 191. We dismissed the Tassies for 160.
Tahlia’s 58 were the Highest
Score at Railways Oval for the two games over the weekend the next best being
40 from Burns of Tasmania.
The Scorps head off to Sydney
next weekend to take on NSW (who have won the last 11 titles!) Good luck team.
