The D grade also
Batting first made 193 with Isaac Tierney making his first senior century posting 108. The boys toiled all day but were unable to finish the job with Port passing the total with a few wickets in hand.

SAPOL FeBLUary Awareness Match

As part of the clubs efforts to raise awareness of mental health issues with in our community the annual Stingrays Founding XI versus the SA Police XI was played at Bice Oval. The game was well attended with some 200 people watching the game. Mayor Lorraine Rosenberg attended further validating the importance of the Febluary initiative and showing her support.

The game was played in good spirits with the Stingrays regaining the Charman Family Cup, Tahlia
McGrath was impressive and would have gained consideration for player of the match but the umpires
chose Nick Bowen for his quick fire batting contribution.

The father and son combination of James and Josh Neiderer could not help the Police XI across the line and there was some debate on who made the greatest contribution, clearly it was Josh who showed he
can handle the keeping gloves well.

Club Chaplain, Rick Gryzb contolled proceedings and ensured the formalities of the night ran smoothly. The club would like to thank all volunteers that made the night happen in particular Fern Nizzola and family for their significant planning and input.

Lets continue to raise awareness of mental health issues and continue to support each other as and
when required.
