Dear Players,On behalf of the Southern District Cricket Club coaching staff, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a "meet and greet" information night to be held at our Bice Oval clubrooms on Monday 31st of August from 6:30-7:30pm.
The aim of the session will be to introduce skills coaches and outline their roles; clearly define club selection policy; and formally announce all grade Captains and is open to new and returning players.
Shortly players will receive a pre-season invitation from club secretary Justin Ifould (email and mail) which outlines the training dates leading into the season. Should you not receive an invitation please contact abe@stingrays.com.au and one will be organised.
I can confirm that our first full squad training session will be held at Adelaide Oval indoor nets on Tuesday September 1st following our "meet and greet" the previous night.
Pre-season training is greatly condensed compared to recent years which has been designed to maximise player attendance and availability of skills coaches, and allows most players 6 weeks of solid training leading into round 1.
I am thrilled to have been given opportunity to coach the club, and believe the club has assembled an excellent group of skills coaches and leaders to take us into season 2009/10. I will communicate with the playing group by both email and text message from time to time, and regularly post information on the club website www.stingrays.com.au
