With the A grade season less than 2 weeks away we have been mighty impressed with the quality of players who have joined the club to represent the Stingrays this season.Ins include: Bowler Michael Delaney (ACT comets); Allrounder Brett Knowles (ACT); Allrounder Dean Chambers returns from a stint with Brighton CC; Batter/LS bowler Brendan McCormack (Sheidow Park); Quick Jarrod McCormack (Sheidow Park); Keeper/batter Steven Ford (Sheidow Park); Medium pace bowler Reece Button (Port Noarlunga) are a few noteable inclusions who have been regulars at training.
Several other possible new players (depending on injury) include Cory McIvor and Jason Skarfe from the SCL. We also welcome Cameron Cox and Alex Shute from the local area.
Outs this season include off-spin/straight slow bowler Daniel Kendrick (Woodville-South); former C grade skipper Michael Smith (Reynella); Brendan McKeough who never truly recovered from a devastating spell of T20 bowling in 2007 (Reynella) and Batsman/LS bowler Erik Laubscher (West-Torrens).
We wish all departing Stingrays the very best of luck with their new clubs and look forward to following their success over the season & hope to see again them at SDCC in the near future.
