Rnd 2 & Weather

Round 2 senior matches for A grade at Park 25 and C Grade vs Glenelg have been abandoned and will be reduced to one day fixtures next week. At this stage B and D grade games at Bice and CBHS will go ahead weather permitting. Supporters are invited to join the A and C grade players for a BBQ from 1pm at Bice to watch the B's.

At this stage U16 red matches and womens B grade have also been cancelled. contact your captain, manager or coach to confirm your match position.

Last weekend Northern District reclaimed the Jolly Family Cup in the A grade after Mark Cosgrove smashed a century, leading ND to 9 for 296, English import Lewis Hatchett was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. The B grade were narrowly defeated when they failed to chase 212 within their 50 overs, Scott Heywood made an unbeaten 65 from 55 balls. C grade were always in control in their win, new recruits Brendan McCormack (53) and Steven Ford (55no) steering the team home. D grade had their pants pulled down at the Paddocks, bowled out for a pathetic 77, and never in a position to challenge with the ball, something they will be keen to rectify.

Sundays XXXX gold 1 day match against Adelaide was skipper Simon Roberts first successful outing as captain. The stingrays chase 200+ against Adelaide at Glandore, lead by an unbeaten 63 from Simon and a cavalier 50 from Shaun Tanner who was the matchwinner for the Stingrays.
